Existential Depression

While reading about Sushant’s suicide and his life, I revisited my thoughts on the Depression. Sushant was not the weak person he came from Bihar and established him in Mumbai. He was a well-read, brilliant mind. He was an astronomy enthusiast. Many of his close contacts said he always ended up having a philosophical discussion of life that why we are here.

Existential Depression a psychological term that describes the condition of the intellectually gifted minds which search for the meaning of ultimate, Meaning of death, freedom.

A journey of finding yourself is sometimes not a very happy journey if you are not prepared for it; it’s lonely and takes courage and patience to fathom through it. Sometimes this incredibly important journey is wrongly clubbed with mental illness, often leading to the death of brilliant minds.

I feel the use of term mental illness for everything with happens with the mind itself is unfair. Why not use terms like “imbalance” instead of Depression. “Self-search journey” than  Existential crises.

I feel Depression and loneliness and creativity are two sides of thin wall. If you manage to make balance, you will create. Solitude (self-space) gives you time to think of yourself in which you will create amazing things; otherwise, you won’t be able to do these things in ordinary life, but sometimes tis lonlyness might kill you.

Thus making the balance in life is the key.
